The connector on the target measures only 0.22" (W) X 0.5"(l) and has all 20
pins available.
The adapter board has an RS232 interface so that Flash Magic can be used at
anytime to erase a lost processor's flash, it has a JTAG wiggler
interface
on board connected to a DB25 (to be used with a standard parallel port
cable), and it also has a Standard JTAG to Micro-JTAG adapter so that your
system can be used with any JTAG interface. We have used it with over 20
different processors and it has been around for 4 years.
We sell the adapter, let me know if you are interested. m...@selds.com
Hope this helps you out.

for LPC2103?
The Keil Ulink2 has an option to use a smaller 10 pin connector.
This is the connector on the left in the image at: http://www.keil.

We ran into the same problem with the standard JTAG connector being too big
on the small systems we design.
So we selected a 1mm Hirose connector and designed an adapter board.
The connector on the target measures only 0.22" (W) X 0.5"(l) and has all 20
pins available.
The adapter board has an RS232 interface so that Flash Magic can be used at

I've used some of the 2mm header connectors (Samtec is a good vendor) or
a flex cable. I kept the same connection layout and an adapter board to
go from the 0.100" JTAG header to the smaller form factor.
I too, have not found a standard other than the 2x10 0.100" header.

Hi,
I have done quite a bit of googling for a more compact connector for
JTAG for an LPC2103 board I may be building. I can't see any
reference to anything that has become a defacto standard.
