Thomas,

We3 had a mix batch of lpc2129 in a recent product and we detected the difference in code by testing for the presence of the enhanced uart registers.

// assume a 'LPC2129 part'
u8PartSuffix = __HARDWARE_SUFFIX_BLANK;
U0ACR |= U0ACR_Start;
if (U0ACR & U0ACR_Start)
{
U0ACR &= ~U0ACR_Start;
if (!(U0ACR & U0ACR_Start))
{
// part has enhanced UART, so
// assume a 'LPC2129/01 part'
u8PartSuffix = __HARDWARE_SUFFIX_01;
}
}

you can then use this later in your comms code to use auto handshaking or software control handshaking

Hope this helps !
Simon.

On /01 devices, there's an additional line '/01' after the first line 'LPC213...', so your IC is a non-/01 version.

Hello,

A bit of a trivial query.
The UM Rev.02 which I have says that Auto RTS/CTS is available in only LPC213x/01.
Is /01 a revision number and marked on the IC?
I have some ICs which are marked
LPC2138FBD64
SF21712.1 03
I cant see /01 anywhere on the IC.Does anyone have any experience on this ?
