If they pass the course, and get a job, they will fail the job, get
fired, and realize that you cant go successfully thru life cheating.

As a newbie here myself, I have to marvel at all the requests I see
scroll by for "do my work." At this point, my profession is Nursing, but
I did have nearly two decades experience as a successful systems
engineer. I assumed it was my job to read, lurk, experiment as much as
possible, all of which I believe facilitates the learning process.
Questions were, hopefully, succinct, and held back until I'd done my own
homework/research. I find the lack of curiosity on the part of these
students somewhat distressing. I certainly hope they are the
exception...

Also the Peter principle applies.

(for the newbies: promotion to the level of incompetency)

Not always. I've met plenty who somehow get into a job, fudge their way
through, and somehow keep good engineers down while they get away with
murder. Of course most of them end up being relegated to sales :-P .
trouble is in this ass backwards world they usually make more money than

indentured slaves sorry, engineers do.

Your final year project isn't just to light the LED, is it?
That must be to test the waters - what is the ultimate goal, some medical or robotics application?

Have a great day!

That's easy. Every program I ship has my name, DoB, army number and
British National Insurance number embedded into it, but encrypted, and
it is real working code. Better than copyright declarations in the
source. I've been doing that for years.

The professors should put on the internet a sample program that works,
but has some "hidden" indication that it was lifted AS IS without any
modifications.

If the students turn in the AS IS version, they should get a FAIL grade.

The assignment can be "light a LED". It can also be "Make a 3-phase
Energy Meter" (or "Pulsoximeter").

It does not matter. The solution is the same: "Send me the code"
