Hi,

Before we can help you at all you have to tell us what LCD you are
planning to use. Most LCDs will have a cheap that actually controls the
LCD and you interface with that chip through a spi, uart, parallel, etc
communication protocol.

I would suggest getting a Nokia 5110/3310 and here is a good website for
that.

Yes, knowing about the LCD you are trying to write to would be a great
starting point... Try and do a little work before asking for the solution
up front.
