Do some research on Google. The Microchip PIC18 is commonly used for generating
PWM to drive polyphase motors:

Microchip has a lot of app notes on motor control. Take the info and see if you
can port it to an LPC2148.
Look around at NXP. They have a lot of app notes but I haven't looked for
one related to motor control.
