Like you see you have with the display the choice between green and a
blue illuminated execution. With the cable you can dread between
completely and choose a cable with multi color veins. I recommend the
color-coding execution. One can orientate himself therefore while
connecting by the colors of the veins and bends forward therefore better

directly. This happens by a little bit unisolated Litze or directly with
Lzinn in the plug.

To the isolation the use of Schrumpfschlauch is recommended. This also
brings additional stability and complicates tearing off the Litze.

If everything is soldered ready, you must still connect in the switch
plan with +5V and GND to called places to a PC-stream plug (+5V = red
cable, cable GND=schwarzes).
You put out this best of all from the board, because you can well bring
together there the suitable cables.

You can fasten the LCD like it to You likes in the case or also
externally. I have to see it like in obigem picture in the front door of
my Chieftec case built-in.

With it you have already created the most difficult part of the
Tutorials, and now can turn to the software. For this there are for a
moment 2 possibilities.
On the one hand, there is LCDInfo of Henri Skippari, a Finn he offers a
good, friendly Support for his software and this also in future
developed. Other possibility is a Winamp Plug in from Eelco Schijf
called liquid MP3. At the moment that is considered Plug in LCDInfo with
the Winamp achievements.
But there should be in close future a version of LCDInfo which
compensates for the remains.

If we have a look at first at LCD info.

You can do the required files to You on this side downloaden.

You need at first the DriverLINX drivers down, and installs them by
starting "port95nt.exe". Then a new start is due for the first time.

Afterwards you still download LCD info even and entpackt. Now you still
need from obiger download side the file "Vcl50.zip". Entpackt the
contained file in the same list like LCD info.

Now can begin her "LCDInfo_config.exe".
Under "LCD Settings" one chooses KS0108 as a controller and puts the
right address of the LPT port. Then one goes on the register map
"Screens" and clicks on Load with "Screen Config". For the choice stand
all *.ini files which KS0108 contain in the name of. These are most in
the 128x64 pixel format which has our LCD.

In the ini files the data to be indicated as well as the background
picture to be used are deposited.

Now one clicks on " Saves Settings " and finishes the configuration
program. If one begins now LCDInfo with "LCDInfo.exe", the different
Screens would have to be indicated according to ini file on the LCD. Alternatively one can also sketch own Screens. One uses p. / W-Bilder of
the size 128x64 as a background. Then the rest in text and variables is
laid about the background. This information is deposited as mentioned in
the ini file.

For Winamp-Screens bietes to itself as mentioned liquid MP3 in.

You find the download on this side. Like most LCD programs it supports
nowadays only Winamp 2.x. However, perhaps that will change in future.

Result
In the end I might owe Henri for the program LCDInfo. In addition, he
has sketched the switch plan and stood by me with problems with support.
