Hi !
Try the following alternatives:
Luminary - ARM Cortex M3 - LM3S6730 (MAC&PHY)
FreeScale - ColdFire - MCF52235 (MAC&PHY)
Asix.com.tw - 8051 RISC 100Mips - AX11005 (MAC&PHY)

The PIC18F66J60 has an integrated PHY, too, so the price difference is
there. Coldfire is a nicer architecture than PIC though. Digikey lists
the MCF5223x at 8€, minimum order 90 pieces, the PIC18F66J60 is at 4€
when ordering 100 pieces.

..and, they seem to have Ethernet OR CAN, but not both, and no sign
of any USB models. Contrast that with other ARM7/ARM9 models, that
have better BUS combinations.

you mean the 27 new cortex things?

You are three days late to the party. Go check out the thread on
LMI's ARM.

I'm looking for cheap (less than 5 € at 100pieces) microcontrollers with
ethernet. So far I found only the PIC18F66J60. Are there any alternatives?
