AT24C16D in 24LCxx / AT24Cxx I2C EEPROM Family
The AT24C16D is a member of the industry-standard AT24C series of I2C serial EEPROMs, currently manufactured by Microchip Technology. This sub-family provides 16 kilobits of non-volatile memory organized as 2,048 words of 8 bits each. Operating over a wide voltage range, these devices are designed for reliable data retention and endurance in cost-sensitive embedded systems. They serve as a fundamental building block for storing configuration parameters, calibration data, and user settings across diverse hardware platforms.
Variants in This Sub-Family
Variants within the AT24C16D family are distinguished primarily by their physical packaging and temperature grades. Standard options include 8-lead SOIC, TSSOP, UDFN, and VFBGA packages, as well as the ultra-thin 5-lead SOT23. Some variants are specified for extended industrial temperature ranges (-40C to +85C or +125C). Ordering codes also differ based on delivery media, such as bulk shipping tubes or high-volume tape and reel formats.
