ADS1115LIYCJR in TI ADS1115 / ADS1118 ADC Family

The ADS1115 family by Texas Instruments consists of ultra-small, low-power, 16-bit precision delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). Designed for high-accuracy measurement in space-constrained applications, these devices integrate a low-drift voltage reference and a programmable gain amplifier (PGA). Operating from a 2V to 5.5V supply, the series offers an I2C interface with four pin-selectable addresses, making them ideal for monitoring multiple sensors in industrial and consumer electronics where board space is at a premium.

Variants within the ADS1115 and ADS1118 sub-families primarily differ by communication interface and integrated peripheral features. While the ADS1115 utilizes I2C for multi-device bus configurations, the ADS1118 employs a SPI interface and adds an internal temperature sensor for cold-junction compensation. Package options include ultra-thin QFN and VSSOP, providing flexibility for different manufacturing processes and thermal requirements while maintaining pin-compatible footprints in certain configurations.
