ESP32-C61HF4 in ESP32 Family

The ESP32-C61HF4 is a sub-family of 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 (LE) microcontrollers developed by Espressif Systems. Built on the RISC-V architecture, these SoCs are designed to provide a cost-effective path for Matter-compatible IoT devices. They focus on power efficiency and improved wireless range through Wi-Fi 6 OFDMA and Target Wake Time (TWT) features, making them ideal for battery-operated smart home peripherals and industrial sensors requiring secure, long-term connectivity.

Variants within the ESP32-C61 sub-family typically differ in their integrated memory configurations and package dimensions. While the HF4 variant features 4 MB of stacked flash, other iterations may provide varying flash densities or exclude internal flash to allow for external QSPI memory expansion. Pin counts and thermal ratings also vary across QFN packages to accommodate different IO requirements and operating temperature ranges.
