MIMXRT1064 in i.MX RT Family

The MIMXRT1064 family, manufactured by NXP Semiconductors, belongs to the i.MX RT series of crossover processors. It is built on the Arm Cortex-M7 core and is designed to bridge the gap between high-performance microprocessors and easy-to-use microcontrollers. Unlike the RT1062, the RT1064 features 4MB of on-chip integrated Flash memory via an internal QSPI interface. It is primarily used for latency-sensitive embedded applications that require significant compute power and high levels of integration for real-time responsiveness.

Variants in This Sub-Family

Variants within the MIMXRT1064 sub-family are primarily distinguished by their operating temperature ratings, ranging from commercial (0C to 95C) to industrial (-40C to 105C) grades. They are also available in different package types, such as 196-pin MAPBGA or 144-pin LQFP, to accommodate varying PCB space constraints and I/O requirements. While all members feature the 4MB internal flash, specific part numbers may differ in their qualification for automotive or high-reliability industrial use.
