LTM8061IV in Linear Tech / ADI LT Series Family
The LTM8061IV is a family of complete Micromodule battery chargers designed by Analog Devices (formerly Linear Technology). These modules integrate a switching controller, power switches, inductor, and all support components into a single LGA package. Operating from input voltages up to 32V, they provide a constant-current/constant-voltage charging algorithm for Lithium-Ion and Lithium-Polymer cells. The family is engineered to simplify complex charging circuits while minimizing PCB footprint and reducing radiated EMI in sensitive embedded systems.
Variants in This Sub-Family
| Part Number | Difference | Stock |
|---|---|---|
| LTM8061IV-8.4#PBF (Analog Devices) | 4#PBF | 340 |
Variants within the LTM8061IV sub-family are primarily distinguished by their fixed float voltage settings, optimized for different battery chemistries and cell counts. For instance, the 8.2 version is calibrated for two-cell Li-ion stacks requiring 8.2V, while the 8.4 version targets standard 4.2V-per-cell stacks totaling 8.4V. All variants share the same 15mm x 9mm x 4.32mm LGA package and pinout, allowing for hardware drop-in changes based on battery selection.
