SparkFun 9DoF IMU Breakout - ICM-20948 (Qwiic)
Overview
The SparkFun SEN-15335 is a 9-Degrees-of-Freedom (9DoF) inertial measurement unit breakout board based on the TDK InvenSense ICM-20948. It integrates a 3-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis gyroscope, and a 3-axis magnetometer into a single low-power package. The board features dual Qwiic connectors for solderless I2C integration and supports a wide supply voltage range from 1.95V to 3.6V.
Why Choose This Part
This breakout excels due to its integrated Digital Motion Processor (DMP) which offloads complex sensor fusion algorithms from the host MCU. The inclusion of two Qwiic ports allows for easy daisy-chaining in I2C systems without soldering, while the support for both I2C and SPI interfaces provides maximum hardware flexibility.

Getting Started
To get started, connect the board to any Qwiic-enabled microcontroller using a standard Qwiic cable or via the 0.1 inch breakout pins for SPI/I2C. SparkFun provides a comprehensive Arduino library for the ICM-20948 that supports DMP features and basic sensor readings. Ensure your logic levels are compatible with the 3.6V maximum VDD rating.
