MCHP24AA256-I/SN
Overview
The 24AA256-I/SN is a 256-Kbit I2C serial EEPROM designed for low-power applications with a wide operating voltage range from 1.7V to 5.5V. It features a 64-byte page write buffer and is cascadable for up to eight devices on a single bus, providing a total of 2Mb of addressable memory.
Why Choose This Part
This EEPROM offers high reliability with over one million erase/write cycles and more than 200 years of data retention. It includes Schmitt Trigger inputs for noise suppression and output slope control to minimize ground bounce, making it ideal for electrically noisy environments.

Getting Started
To interface with the 24AA256-I/SN, connect the SCL and SDA lines to a microcontroller's I2C master with 4.7k-10k ohm pull-up resistors. Ensure the three hardware address pins (A0, A1, A2) are tied to VCC or GND to set the unique bus address. Many standard I2C libraries for Arduino, PIC, and STM32 support this device using its 7-bit control code of 1010.
