Overview

The Adafruit ESP32 Feather V2 is an updated development board based on the ESP32 dual-core 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth SoC. This version features 8 MB of Flash and 2 MB of PSRAM, significantly expanding available memory for complex IoT applications and larger data buffers.

Why Choose This Part

This board provides a significant memory upgrade over the original Feather ESP32, doubling the Flash and adding 2 MB of PSRAM. It includes modern hardware features like a USB-C connector and a physical reset and user button, all while maintaining the compact Feather form factor for easy integration into custom enclosures.

Applications

IoT Data Logger
Utilize the integrated WiFi and 2 MB of PSRAM to buffer sensor data before uploading to cloud services.
Battery-Powered Remote Sensors
Leverage the built-in LiPoly charging circuit and low-power sleep modes for long-term field deployment.
Prototyping with STEMMA QT
Quickly connect I2C sensors and displays without soldering using the onboard STEMMA QT connector.
Wireless Gateway
Act as a bridge between Bluetooth LE peripherals and WiFi-connected networks for home automation.

Getting Started

Program the board using the Arduino IDE with the ESP32 board support package or via CircuitPython. To utilize the STEMMA QT connector, connect any compatible plug-and-play sensor and import the corresponding Adafruit libraries. For battery operation, simply plug a 3.7V LiPoly battery into the JST-PH port to enable automatic charging and power switching.
