Adafruit Proto Tripler PiCowbell for Pico
Overview
The Adafruit Proto Tripler PiCowbell is a prototyping expansion board designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi Pico and Pico W. It features three interconnected socket areas, allowing users to plug in one Pico board and two additional Pico-compatible add-on 'Cowbell' shields simultaneously. All pins are cross-connected in parallel, providing a stable platform for multi-module projects without complex wiring.
Why Choose This Part
The Tripler eliminates the need for stacking headers which can become mechanically unstable or obscure access to lower pins. It includes labeled breakout pins for every Pico GPIO and power rail, ensuring easy probing and debugging. The central prototyping area also allows for the integration of custom passive components or small ICs directly onto the board.
Applications
Getting Started
To use the Proto Tripler, solder standard female headers or socket strips onto the board to accommodate your Raspberry Pi Pico and Cowbell add-ons. Ensure your Pico is equipped with male headers facing downward to interface with the Tripler sockets. No software configuration is required as it provides a direct electrical pass-through for all signals.
