ACS723LLCTR-05AB-T
Overview
The ACS723LLCTR-05AB-T is a high-accuracy, bidirectional Hall-effect current sensor designed for AC or DC sensing in low-voltage industrial and commercial systems. It features a low-resistance 0.65 milliohm primary conductor and integrated temperature compensation to ensure stable output across a wide operating range. The device provides a ratiometric analog output voltage proportional to the sensed current with a high sensitivity of 400mV/A.
Why Choose This Part
This sensor eliminates the need for an external sense resistor by routing current directly through the SOIC8 package, resulting in extremely low power loss. The integrated shield provides excellent immunity to stray magnetic fields and capacitive coupling, while the pin-selectable bandwidth (20kHz or 80kHz) allows engineers to optimize for noise or speed.

Getting Started
Connect the primary current path to pins 1/2 and 3/4, then monitor the VOUT pin with a high-impedance ADC input. Ensure the 5V supply is well-decoupled and use the BW_SEL pin to toggle between the 20kHz low-noise mode and the full 80kHz bandwidth. For evaluation, Allegro provides standardized footprint layouts to manage thermal dissipation at the 5A continuous current limit.
