ACS724LLCTR-30AU-T

Allegro MicroSystems
Current Sensor ±30A 1 Channel Hall Effect, Open Loop Unidirectional 8-SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm Width)
Active5,798 in stock

Overview

The ACS724LLCTR-30AU-T is a high-accuracy, galvanically isolated Hall-effect current sensor designed for unidirectional DC measurements up to 30A. It features a compact SOIC-8 footprint with an integrated 1.2 mOhm primary conductor, providing a ratiometric analog output proportional to the sensed current. This AEC-Q100 qualified IC utilizes differential sensing to reject common-mode magnetic fields and includes internal temperature compensation to maintain accuracy across its operating range.

Why Choose This Part

The sensor offers extremely low power loss due to its 1.2 mOhm internal resistance and achieves high-speed performance with a 4us response time and 120kHz bandwidth. Its integrated shield minimizes capacitive coupling from high dV/dt signals, while the differential Hall sensing architecture ensures robust operation in electrically noisy environments.

Applications

Automotive DC/DC Converters
Monitoring high-side or low-side current in vehicle power electronics with AEC-Q100 reliability.
Solar Inverter Monitoring
Measuring unidirectional DC output from PV strings for power tracking and system health monitoring.
Battery Management Systems
Tracking charge current in lithium-ion packs where low insertion loss and high isolation are critical.
Industrial Motor Control
Providing feedback for DC motor drives and actuator positioning systems.

Getting Started

Connect the primary current path to pins 1/2 and 3/4, and provide a stable 5V supply to the VCC pin. Use the Filter pin with an external capacitor to set the output bandwidth and reduce noise for low-frequency applications. Ensure the PCB layout includes sufficient copper weight to handle the 30A continuous current without excessive thermal rise.
