Overview

The ACS758ECB-200U-PFF-T is a high-accuracy, unidirectional Hall effect-based linear current sensor designed for high-side or low-side sensing in high-power applications. It provides a ratiometric analog voltage output proportional to a DC primary current up to 200A while maintaining 3kVRMS galvanic isolation. The integrated AEC-Q100 qualification and chopper stabilization ensure reliable performance across a wide automotive temperature range.

Why Choose This Part

This sensor features an exceptionally low 100 micro-ohm internal conductor resistance to minimize power loss and thermal overhead. It offers a fast 4us response time and 120kHz bandwidth, making it suitable for high-speed fault detection and switching frequency monitoring. The factory-trimmed sensitivity and offset ensure high accuracy without the need for complex end-of-line calibration.

Applications

Electric Vehicle (EV) Power Systems
Monitoring DC current in traction motor inverters and high-voltage battery management systems.
Solar Inverter Monitoring
Sensing DC input current from photovoltaic arrays for maximum power point tracking and safety.
Industrial Motor Drives
Providing feedback for heavy-duty DC motor control and overcurrent protection in manufacturing equipment.
Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
Monitoring load current and battery discharge rates in high-capacity backup power systems.

Getting Started

When integrating this sensor, ensure the high-current primary traces are properly sized to handle 200A without exceeding the 85C maximum operating temperature. The output is an analog voltage that can be interfaced directly to a 5V microcontroller ADC; use a simple RC low-pass filter to reduce output noise if the full 120kHz bandwidth is not required. For evaluation, ensure the PFF leadform is securely mounted to a PCB with sufficient thermal copper pour for heat dissipation.
