Overview

The ACS770LCB-100U-PFF-T is a high-accuracy, unidirectional Hall-effect current sensor designed for high-side or low-side sensing in high-current applications. It features a 120kHz bandwidth and a 4.6us response time, providing a ratiometric analog output proportional to the 100A DC current range. This AEC-Q100 qualified IC utilizes an integrated shield to mitigate EMI from high-voltage conductors, ensuring stable performance in harsh automotive and industrial environments.

Why Choose This Part

The sensor offers galvanic isolation and an ultralow power loss leadframe, eliminating the need for expensive isolation components while minimizing heat generation. It provides exceptional accuracy with a +/-0.6% typical error and is factory-trimmed to ensure stability over a wide temperature range of -40C to 150C.

Applications

EV Motor Inverters
High-bandwidth sensing of phase currents in electric vehicle traction motors and auxiliary drives.
DC-to-DC Converters
Precise current monitoring for power stage control and efficiency optimization in high-power conversion systems.
Battery Management Systems (BMS)
Unidirectional current measurement for state-of-charge calculation and overcurrent protection in large battery packs.
Industrial Load Management
Detecting faults and managing power distribution for heavy industrial machinery up to 100A.

Getting Started

To evaluate this sensor, provide a stable 4.5V to 5.5V VCC and connect the output to a high-impedance ADC input. Ensure the high-current trace is securely soldered to the PFF package terminals to maintain low thermal resistance. Use a bypass capacitor near the VCC pin and follow the recommended PCB layout for the integrated shield to maximize noise immunity.
