Overview

The ACS772KCB-150B-PFF-T is a high-accuracy, bidirectional Hall-effect current sensor IC designed for high-current sensing up to 150A. It features reinforced galvanic isolation and an ultra-low resistance conductor (100 micro-ohms) to minimize power loss in high-power applications. This AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified device provides a ratiometric analog output proportional to the sensed AC or DC current.

Why Choose This Part

The sensor offers an industry-leading 2.5us response time and a wide 200kHz bandwidth, making it suitable for fast-switching power electronics. Its integrated shield significantly reduces capacitive coupling from the high-voltage conductor to the low-voltage circuitry, ensuring low noise and stable offset even in high dV/dt environments. The 100 micro-ohm internal conductor allows for high current measurement without the thermal penalties associated with traditional shunt resistors.

Applications

EV Traction Inverters
High-bandwidth current sensing for motor phase current monitoring in electric vehicle powertrains.
Battery Management Systems (BMS)
Monitoring charge and discharge cycles in large battery packs with high isolation requirements.
Industrial DC-DC Converters
Precise current feedback for high-efficiency power conversion and overcurrent protection.
Solar Inverters
AC and DC side current monitoring for power optimization and safety shut-off systems.

Getting Started

To evaluate this sensor, design a PCB with wide copper traces to handle the 150A load and ensure the PFF package is properly soldered for thermal management. Connect the VCC pin to a stable 5V supply and monitor the VOUT pin using an ADC or oscilloscope to observe the 13.33mV/A ratiometric signal.
