ADAU1452
Overview
The ADAU1452 is a higher-performance SigmaDSP audio processor from Analog Devices designed for real-time audio processing. It provides a high internal clock rate and substantial on-chip RAM and ROM for complex filter graphs, delays and algorithms. Control is via standard serial control interfaces (I2C or SPI) and it comes in compact surface-mount packages suitable for embedded audio products.
Why Choose This Part
Designed specifically for audio processing, the ADAU1452 offers high processing bandwidth and large on-chip RAM (160 kB) plus ROM (32 kB) for program storage and runtime data without relying on external memory. Standard I2C and SPI control makes it straightforward to integrate with an MCU or control processor, and the available VFQFN exposed-pad package lets you implement compact board designs.

Getting Started
Develop with Analog Devices SigmaStudio graphical design tool and the companys evaluation kits and reference designs for the SigmaDSP family. In hardware, provide the specified power rails (3.3V for I/O and 1.2V for core) and use an MCU or USB-to-I2C/SPI adapter to load parameters and control the device. Start by importing block-diagram projects in SigmaStudio and iterating filter/processing graphs while monitoring audio paths.
