ADAU1761
Overview
The ADAU1761 is a stereo audio codec from Analog Devices with integrated ADCs and DACs. It provides two ADC channels and two DAC channels with 24-bit sigma-delta conversion and a serial digital audio interface. The device is available in compact surface-mount packages (32-VFQFN exposed pad / CSP) and supports industrial temperature ranges.
Why Choose This Part
Integrated stereo ADCs and DACs reduce external component count and PCB routing compared with discrete converters. 24-bit sigma-delta converters provide high resolution for consumer and voice audio applications. A wide analog and digital supply range makes the part adaptable to common battery and 3.3 V system rails, and the compact VFQFN/CSP packages save board space.

Getting Started
Download the ADAU1761 datasheet and reference schematics from Analog Devices to review recommended power sequencing, decoupling, and input/output coupling. Use a host MCU, DSP, or FPGA with a serial audio interface to feed and receive I/O samples, and follow the datasheet guidelines for analog grounding and layout. Check Analog Devices application notes for recommended microphone and line-level front-end circuits.
