Overview

The ADF4351BCPZ is a wideband fractional-N and integer-N Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) frequency synthesizer with an integrated Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO). It supports a broad frequency output range from 34 MHz to 4400 MHz, utilizing an internal bank of VCOs and output dividers to maintain low phase noise across the entire spectrum. The device is controlled via a simple 3-wire serial interface and operates from a 3.0V to 3.6V supply.

Why Choose This Part

The integrated VCO covers a massive frequency range, eliminating the need for multiple external oscillators and complex switching circuitry. Its fractional-N architecture allows for extremely fine frequency resolution, while the 32-lead LFCSP package provides excellent thermal and RF performance in a 5mm x 5mm footprint.

Applications

Wireless Infrastructure
Used as a local oscillator for GSM, PCS, and LTE base stations requiring low phase noise and wide frequency coverage.
Test and Measurement
Ideal for integrated signal generators and handheld spectrum analyzers due to its wide 34 MHz to 4.4 GHz range.
Clock Generation
Functions as a high-frequency clock source for high-speed ADCs and DACs requiring precise timing and low jitter.
Satellite Communications
Provides stable frequency synthesis for VSAT and satellite ground station up/down converters.
