ADG706BRUZ
Overview
The ADG706BRUZ is a CMOS 16-channel analog multiplexer that operates on a single 1.8V to 5.5V supply or dual +/-2.5V supplies. It is designed for low power consumption and high-speed switching, making it suitable for signal routing in battery-powered instrumentation. Each channel is selected via a 4-bit binary address and an active-low Enable input.
Why Choose This Part
The part features very low on-resistance (typically 2.5 ohms) and low leakage current, ensuring high signal integrity. Its break-before-make switching action prevents momentary shorting when switching between channels. The TSSOP-28 package provides a high density of channels in a compact footprint suitable for space-constrained designs.
Applications
Getting Started
When integrating the ADG706BRUZ, ensure that the power supply rails are properly decoupled with 0.1uF capacitors placed close to the VDD and VSS pins. Connect the four address lines (A0-A3) to your microcontroller GPIO and verify that signal voltages remain within the supply rails to prevent latch-up. For rapid prototyping, use a TSSOP-28 to DIP adapter or an Analog Devices EVAL-ADG706EBZ evaluation board if available.
