Overview

The AH3372-SA-7 is a high-sensitivity, unipolar Hall-effect switch designed for position and proximity sensing in robust environments. It operates across a wide supply voltage range of 3V to 28V and features an open-drain output capable of sinking up to 60mA. The device utilizes a chopper-stabilized architecture to ensure stability across its -40 to 125 degree Celsius operating temperature range.

Why Choose This Part

This sensor offers excellent reliability with an integrated reverse blocking diode and Zener clamps for protection against voltage transients. Its 3mT trip and 2mT release points provide high sensitivity for long-distance magnetic sensing, while the open-drain output simplifies interfacing with different logic levels.

Applications

Industrial Proximity Sensing
Used for non-contact detection of moving parts in automated assembly lines and industrial machinery.
Security System Sensors
Ideal for door and window open/close detection sensors where a South pole magnet is used for triggering.
BLDC Motor Commutation
Provides rotor position feedback for brushless DC motor control systems.
Flow Rate Meters
Detects the rotation of magnetic impellers in liquid or gas flow measurement systems.

Getting Started

To use the AH3372-SA-7, connect the VDD pin to a 3V-28V supply and place a 10k ohm pull-up resistor between the output pin and your microcontroller logic level. Ensure the South pole of a magnet is oriented toward the branded side of the SOT23 package to trigger the switch. For prototyping, the AH3372-P-B through-hole variant is available for use on standard breadboards.
