ANT-433-HETH
Overview
The ANT-433-HETH is a compact 433MHz helical antenna designed for through-hole PCB mounting in cost-sensitive wireless applications. It features a precision-wound phosphor-bronze coil that provides a 1.9dBi gain and a 40MHz bandwidth centered at 433MHz. Its small physical profile and rugged construction make it an ideal choice for concealed RF integration in security and remote control systems.
Why Choose This Part
This antenna offers an excellent balance of small size and electrical performance with a VSWR of less than 2.0 at the center frequency. The through-hole mounting provides superior mechanical stability compared to surface-mount helical antennas, while the phosphor-bronze construction ensures durability in temperature ranges from -40C to +80C.

Getting Started
When integrating this antenna, ensure a large ground plane is present on the PCB to act as the counterpoise for the helical element. For optimal performance, mount the antenna perpendicular to the ground plane and away from metal shielding or large components that could detune the 418MHz to 458MHz frequency range. Connect the single solder pin directly to the 50-ohm RF trace using a pi-network for fine impedance matching if required by the radio transceiver.
