Overview

The ANT-868-WRT-UFL is a low-profile dome-style antenna designed for 868 MHz ISM band applications, including LoRaWAN and Sigfox. This panel-mount antenna features a compact 10mm height and provides a peak gain of 3.8 dBi with a low VSWR of 1.4. It comes equipped with a 216mm coaxial cable terminated in a standard MHF1/U.FL connector for easy integration into compact IoT enclosures.

Why Choose This Part

The WRT series offers a very low profile that reduces the risk of impact damage or tampering compared to traditional whip antennas. Its 3.8 dBi gain and excellent 1.4 VSWR ensure efficient power transfer and extended range for LPWAN applications. The integrated 216mm cable and U.FL connector simplify assembly by eliminating the need for additional RF pigtails.

Applications

LoRaWAN End Nodes
Ideal for long-range wide-area network sensors requiring a rugged, low-profile external antenna for urban or industrial environments.
Smart Utility Metering
Used in Automated Meter Reading (AMR) systems where the antenna must be mounted to a metal or plastic enclosure while maintaining a small footprint.
Industrial IoT (IIoT)
Provides reliable sub-GHz connectivity for machinery monitoring and automated equipment in harsh industrial settings.
Remote Security Systems
Suited for wireless alarm panels and entry sensors that operate on the 868 MHz frequency for better building penetration.

Getting Started

When mounting, ensure the antenna is installed on a flat surface through a 19mm hole for a secure panel fit. For optimal performance, follow the recommended ground plane dimensions provided in the datasheet to maintain the specified radiation pattern and gain. Route the 1.32mm coaxial cable away from high-speed digital lines to minimize interference before snapping the MHF1 connector onto your PCB.
