Getting Started
When designing the PCB, ensure the cathode is correctly oriented according to the polarity mark on the underside of the package. Calculate the series current-limiting resistor based on the 2.0V typical forward voltage and your target current, not exceeding the 20mA test current for standard operation. Follow the MSL 3 baking requirements if the package has been open for more than 168 hours prior to reflow.
