ASE-100.000MHZ-L-C-T

Abracon LLC
100 MHz XO (Standard) CMOS Oscillator 3.3V Enable/Disable 4-SMD, No Lead
Active

Overview

The ASE-100.000MHZ-L-C-T is a standard crystal clock oscillator (XO) from Abracon's ASE series, providing a high-speed 100 MHz CMOS output. It operates on a 3.3V supply and is housed in a compact 3.2mm x 2.5mm surface-mount package. This component includes an enable/disable function on pin 1 to facilitate power management in sensitive designs.

Why Choose This Part

The ASE series offers a small footprint for space-constrained PCB designs while maintaining a standard +/-50ppm frequency stability over a wide industrial temperature range of -40C to +85C. Its 3.3V operation and CMOS output make it directly compatible with most modern digital logic families.

Applications

High-Speed Digital Clocking
Provides a stable reference clock for FPGAs, CPLDs, and high-speed microprocessors requiring a 100 MHz source.
Ethernet and Networking
Serves as a reliable timing source for network interface controllers and communication hardware.
Data Acquisition Systems
Used to drive ADCs and DACs where a consistent 100 MHz clock is necessary for high-frequency sampling.

Getting Started

When integrating this oscillator, place a 0.1uF bypass capacitor as close as possible to the VDD pin (Pin 4) to minimize noise. Ensure the enable/disable pin (Pin 1) is tied high to VDD if the output is required to be active at all times; leaving it floating or tied low will disable the CMOS output.
