Overview

The ASFLM1-100.000MHZ-LC-T is a 100 MHz MEMS-based oscillator designed for high-reliability timing in a compact 5.0mm x 3.2mm package. It features LVCMOS output logic and a dedicated standby mode to minimize power consumption when the system is inactive. Operating at 3V, this device provides a stable frequency source with a tolerance of +/-50ppm across an industrial temperature range.

Why Choose This Part

This oscillator utilizes MEMS technology, providing higher resistance to shock and vibration compared to standard quartz crystal oscillators. Its integrated power-down function and wide operating temperature range from -40C to 85C make it suitable for demanding industrial environments where space is limited.

Applications

High-Speed Digital Logic
Provides a reliable reference clock for FPGAs, CPLDs, and high-performance microcontrollers requiring a 100 MHz source.
Communication Equipment
Used in networking hardware and data transmission systems where MEMS technology offers superior vibration resistance over traditional quartz.
Battery-Powered Industrial Devices
Leverages the standby function and MEMS architecture to extend battery life in portable monitoring and measurement tools.

Getting Started

Ensure a 0.1uF bypass capacitor is placed as close as possible to the VDD pin (Pin 4) to minimize noise. The standby function is controlled via Pin 1, which should be pulled high for normal operation and low to enter power-down mode. Verify that the load capacitance on the LVCMOS output does not exceed the maximum rated value to maintain signal integrity.
