Overview

The ASFLMB-12.000MHZ-LY-T is a 12 MHz MEMS-based oscillator designed for high-reliability timing across a wide 1.8V to 3.3V supply range. Housed in a standard 5.00mm x 3.20mm 4-SMD package, it provides a stable LVCMOS output with a standby power-down function to conserve energy in battery-powered designs. This MEMS resonator technology offers superior shock and vibration resistance compared to traditional quartz crystal oscillators.

Why Choose This Part

This oscillator features an exceptionally tight +/-10ppm frequency stability across an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C. Its MEMS-based architecture ensures high immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and physical acceleration, making it more robust than quartz alternatives.

Applications

Industrial Automation
Provides a rugged clock source for PLC modules and industrial controllers exposed to mechanical vibration.
Embedded Systems
Functions as a primary system clock for microcontrollers and digital signal processors requiring a 12 MHz reference.
Consumer Electronics
Ideal for portable devices where the standby mode can be used to minimize current draw during idle states.

Getting Started

To implement this device, connect the 1.8V to 3.3V supply to the VDD pin and ensure a 0.1uF bypass capacitor is placed close to the package. The standby pin (Pin 1) should be driven high for normal operation or pulled low to enter a low-power state and tri-state the output.
