19.2 MHz TCXO LVCMOS Oscillator 3.3V 4-SMD, No Lead
Active10 in stock

Overview

The AST3TQ-19.200MHZ-5 is a high-precision Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) from Abracon designed for applications requiring exceptional frequency stability. Operating at 3.3V with a 19.2 MHz LVCMOS output, it maintains a tight frequency tolerance of +/-500ppb across a wide operating temperature range from -55C to +95C. This level of stability makes it an ideal reference clock for GNSS synchronization and professional-grade wireless communication systems.

Why Choose This Part

This TCXO offers a superior stability-to-size ratio with a compact 7.00mm x 5.00mm footprint while maintaining 500ppb precision. Its wide operating temperature range extending up to 95C allows for deployment in high-density industrial enclosures where heat dissipation is a concern. The standard LVCMOS output ensures easy integration with most modern FPGAs and microcontrollers without needing additional level-shifting circuitry.

Applications

GNSS and GPS Receivers
Provides the stable timing reference required for rapid satellite signal acquisition and precise position calculations.
Base Stations and Small Cells
Serves as a reliable local oscillator for synchronization in LTE, 5G, and other cellular infrastructure components.
Industrial IoT Gateways
Ensures robust data transmission timing in harsh environments subject to significant temperature fluctuations.
Network Interface Cards
Acts as a low-jitter clock source for high-speed Ethernet and networking hardware requiring 19.2 MHz references.

Getting Started

When integrating this TCXO, place a 0.1uF ceramic bypass capacitor as close as possible to the VDD pin (Pin 4) to minimize noise. Ensure the output trace to your MCU or FPGA is kept short and uses a solid ground plane to maintain signal integrity at 19.2 MHz. For prototyping, this 4-SMD package can be hand-soldered onto a 7050-sized breakout board, though reflow soldering is recommended for production to ensure optimal thermal coupling for the compensation circuit.
