Overview

The ASTX-H11-16.000MHZ-T is a high-precision Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) that provides a stable 16 MHz HCMOS output. It is designed for applications requiring tight frequency stability of +/-2.5ppm over a temperature range of -30C to +75C. This surface-mount component features an integrated enable/disable function for power-sensitive designs.

Why Choose This Part

This TCXO offers excellent frequency stability of +/-2.5ppm in a compact 3.2mm x 2.5mm SMD package, making it ideal for space-constrained PCB layouts. It operates on a standard 3.3V supply and includes a tri-state enable/disable pin to reduce system power consumption when the clock is not required.

Applications

Wireless Communication Hubs
Provides a stable reference clock for RF transceivers and baseband processors.
GPS/GNSS Receivers
Used as a local oscillator where precise timing is required for satellite signal acquisition.
IoT Gateways
Ensures reliable long-range communication timing in varied environmental conditions.
Precision Instrumentation
Acts as a master clock for measurement systems requiring low thermal frequency drift.

Getting Started

To implement this part, ensure the 3.3V supply is decoupled with a 0.01uF to 0.1uF ceramic capacitor placed as close as possible to the VDD pin. Standard HCMOS termination techniques should be used for the output trace to maintain signal integrity at 16 MHz. Verify that the load capacitance of the following IC does not exceed the maximum rated load for the HCMOS output.
