Overview

The ATWINC1500-XPRO is an evaluation and development board for the ATWINC1500 IEEE 802.11 b/g/n IoT network controller. It provides a complete Wi-Fi solution that offloads the entire network stack from the host microcontroller to an integrated on-chip engine. This board is designed to plug directly into Microchip Xplained Pro evaluation kits to enable rapid prototyping of wireless cloud connectivity.

Getting Started

Connect the ATWINC1500-XPRO to an Xplained Pro compatible MCU board such as the ATSAMD21-XPRO. Use Microchip Harmony or the Atmel Software Framework (ASF) to access driver libraries and example projects for Wi-Fi provisioning and TCP/IP communication. The board is primarily controlled via the SPI interface for high-throughput data transfer.
