BOOST-DRV8848

TIBOOST-DRV8848

Texas Instruments
DRV8848 - Motor Controller/Driver Power Management Evaluation Board
Active4 in stock

Overview

The BOOST-DRV8848 is a BoosterPack evaluation module featuring the DRV8848 dual H-bridge motor driver. It is designed to drive two brushed DC motors or one bipolar stepper motor with up to 2A peak current per bridge. This board is compatible with TI LaunchPad development kits, providing a plug-and-play platform for motor control prototyping.

Why Choose This Part

It offers simple pulse-width modulation (PWM) interfaces that allow for easy speed and direction control from any microcontroller. The module includes comprehensive protection features such as overcurrent, short-circuit, undervoltage lockout, and thermal shutdown to ensure robust operation during development.

Applications

Brushed DC Motor Control
Independently driving two brushed motors for small mobile robotics or automated mechanisms.
Bipolar Stepper Driving
Utilizing both bridges to drive a single stepper motor for precise position control in office automation.
Solenoid and Relay Actuation
Using the H-bridge outputs to switch high-current inductive loads in industrial systems.
