BPS6C-X00
Overview
The BPS6C-X00 is an AEC-Q100 qualified battery safety pressure sensor designed to detect thermal runaway events in electric vehicle battery packs. It utilizes a CAN bus interface to provide high-accuracy absolute pressure measurements between 50 kPa and 300 kPa with 12-bit resolution. The module features an ECO mode for low power consumption and includes dedicated wake-up and request pins for efficient system integration.
Why Choose This Part
This sensor offers AEC-Q100 qualification and a wide operating temperature range of -40 degC to 105 degC, making it suitable for harsh automotive environments. Its low power profile includes a 100 uA sleep current and a 200 uA quiescent current, while the CAN interface simplifies wiring and improves noise immunity compared to analog sensors.

Getting Started
Integration requires a CAN 2.0B compatible controller and a 6V to 18V power supply. Engineers should utilize the Wake-up output and Request input pins to manage the sensor's state transitions between ECO mode and continuous measurement mode (25mA). Firmware development should focus on parsing the 12-bit pressure data and configuring the settable warning thresholds via the CAN bus.
