BQ25890 - Battery Charger Power Management Evaluation Board
Active1 in stock

Overview

The BQ25890EVM-664 is an evaluation module for the BQ25890, a highly integrated 5-A switch-mode battery charge management and system power path management device for single cell Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries. It features an I2C interface for flexible charging parameter programming and system-level monitoring via an integrated ADC.

Why Choose This Part

The board provides a practical platform to test the NVDC-1 power path management, which allows the system to be regulated at a voltage slightly above the battery voltage. It includes on-board LEDs for immediate status feedback and accessible test points for monitoring I2C communication and power rails.

Applications

Single-Cell USB Charging
Developing fast-charging solutions for smartphones and tablets that require high current delivery up to 5A.
Power Bank Prototyping
Designing portable power systems that need efficient boost mode operation to power external USB peripherals.
Industrial Handhelds
Implementing rugged battery management with wide input voltage support up to 14V for versatile charging sources.
