Overview

The BQ7693003DBTR is a highly integrated battery monitoring and protection IC designed for 6-series to 10-series Li-ion and LiFePO4 battery packs. It features an integrated 14-bit ADC for precise cell voltage and temperature measurements, alongside hardware-based protection for over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-current conditions. The device communicates via an I2C interface and includes integrated cell balancing FETs and low-side N-channel FET drivers to simplify system-level BMS design.

Why Choose This Part

This monitor eliminates the need for external cell balancing FETs and complex EEPROM programming, reducing both BOM cost and production complexity. It offers high reliability with an absolute maximum supply voltage of 108V and random cell connection tolerance, which prevents damage during assembly. The ultra-low power ship mode (1.8 uA) ensures long shelf life for finished battery products.

Applications

Light Electric Vehicles
Ideal for e-bikes, e-scooters, and golf carts using 6S to 10S battery configurations requiring robust hardware protection.
Power Tools
Provides high-current discharge protection and cell balancing for high-capacity professional cordless tool battery packs.
Energy Storage Systems
Acts as the primary monitoring node for residential backup power and UPS systems utilizing multi-cell lithium chemistries.
