Overview

The BTN8982TA is an integrated high-current half-bridge motor driver from the NovalithIC family designed for automotive and industrial motor drive applications. It combines a p-channel high-side MOSFET and an n-channel low-side MOSFET with a complete driver IC in a single package. The device features integrated protection such as current limiting, overtemperature shutdown, and undervoltage lockout to simplify robust motor control designs.

Getting Started

When designing with the BTN8982TA, ensure that an external resistor is connected to the SR pin to set the desired slew rate for your PWM frequency. A ceramic capacitor should be placed very close to the Vs and GND pins to handle high-frequency switching noise.
