TICC1100ERGPR
Overview
The CC1100ERGPR is a high-performance sub-1GHz radio frequency transceiver designed for low-power wireless applications in the 470-510 MHz and 950-960 MHz frequency bands. It features a highly integrated design with an intermediate frequency (IF) processor, a low-noise amplifier (LNA), and a frequency synthesizer, making it suitable for compact wireless links. The device supports multiple modulation formats including 2-FSK, GFSK, MSK, ASK, and OOK with data rates up to 500 kBaud.
Why Choose This Part
This transceiver offers excellent receiver sensitivity of -112 dBm and a wide supply voltage range from 1.8V to 3.6V, with an extremely low sleep current of 0.4 uA. It includes hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, and burst transmissions via a 64-byte FIFO, which reduces the processing load on the host microcontroller. Integrated features like Wake-on-Radio (WoR) and a temperature sensor further simplify ultra-low-power system design.

Getting Started
Development is supported through the Texas Instruments CC1100E-EMK evaluation module kits and the SmartRF Studio software, which provides a GUI for testing RF parameters and generating register settings. The device interfaces with a host microcontroller via a standard 4-wire SPI bus and three general-purpose digital output pins. Engineers should consult the CC1100E datasheet for layout guidelines to ensure proper impedance matching at the RF port.
