Overview

The CKSR 15-NP is a high-accuracy, closed-loop flux gate current transducer designed for the electronic measurement of AC and DC currents. It provides a ratiometric voltage output with a nominal current rating of 15A and features an integrated primary conductor for simplified PCB mounting. This sensor is characterized by its excellent linearity of 1% and a fast response time of 0.3us.

Why Choose This Part

This transducer offers superior accuracy of +/-0.8% and high frequency performance up to 300kHz. The closed-loop flux gate technology ensures extremely low offset drift and high immunity to external magnetic fields compared to standard Hall effect sensors. Its 0.3us response time allows for effective protection of power semiconductors against short-circuit conditions.

Applications

Solar Inverters
Ideal for monitoring DC string currents and AC output stages in photovoltaic systems due to its high accuracy and low temperature drift.
Variable Speed Drives
Used for precise phase current sensing in motor control applications to improve inverter efficiency and torque ripple.
Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
Provides fast fault detection and feedback control in power backup systems requiring high isolation.
Electric Vehicle Charging
Suitable for integrated onboard chargers and DC fast-charging stations where high bandwidth and compact size are required.

Getting Started

When designing with the CKSR 15-NP, ensure the 5V supply (4.75V to 5.25V) is well-regulated to maintain ratiometric accuracy. The sensor features four primary pins that can be configured in parallel or series to adjust the nominal current range. Layout the PCB with sufficient clearance and creepage distances around the primary conductor pins to maintain the safety isolation ratings required for high-voltage power electronics.
