Overview

The DFR0868 is a compact, RISC-V based development board powered by the ESP32-C3 single-core 32-bit processor running at 160MHz. It features integrated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 (LE) connectivity in a small 25mm x 20.5mm form factor designed for space-constrained IoT projects. The board includes 400KB of RAM, 4MB of flash, and onboard lithium battery charging management for portable applications.

Why Choose This Part

This board provides a powerful RISC-V architecture with 12-bit ADC resolution and 6 PWM channels in a miniature package. The built-in charging circuit simplifies the design of cordless devices, while the IO 5V tolerance on specific pins provides flexibility when interfacing with legacy hardware.

Applications

Portable IoT Sensors
The integrated battery management and low-power RISC-V core make it ideal for battery-operated environmental monitors.
Wearable Devices
Small footprint and Bluetooth 5 support allow for integration into smart clothing or fitness tracking prototypes.
Home Automation Actuators
Uses Wi-Fi and 13 GPIO pins with PWM support to control lighting, blinds, or small appliances via smart home protocols.
Industrial Data Logging
Utilizes I2C, SPI, and UART interfaces to interface with industrial sensors and transmit data via Wi-Fi.
