E2E-X6B1D12-M1

Omron Automation and Safety
Inductive Proximity Sensor 0.236" (6mm) IP67, IP69K Cylinder, Threaded - M12
Active3 in stock

Overview

The E2E-X6B1D12-M1 is a shielded M12 inductive proximity sensor designed for high-reliability metallic target detection in industrial environments. It features a 6mm sensing distance and a PNP-NO (Normally Open) 3-wire configuration with a standard M12 connector termination. The sensor is built with a durable nickel-plated brass body and carries IP67 and IP69K ratings for resistance to high-pressure washdowns.

Why Choose This Part

This sensor offers robust circuit protection, including load short-circuit, output reverse polarity, and surge suppression. Its shielded design allows for flush mounting in metal surfaces without interference, while the wide operating temperature range of -25C to 70C ensures stability in varied factory conditions.

Applications

Industrial Automation
Used for position sensing and presence detection of metal parts on conveyor systems and assembly lines.
Robotic End-Effectors
Provides non-contact limit sensing and part-in-place verification for robotic grippers.
Food and Beverage Processing
The IP69K rating makes it suitable for equipment that requires intensive high-temperature cleaning protocols.
Machine Tool Monitoring
Reliably detects tool position or spindle rotation in harsh machining environments with 10V to 30V DC supply rails.

Getting Started

Connect the M12 connector to a standard 3-pin or 4-pin industrial M12 cable. Wire the brown lead to 10-30VDC, the blue lead to ground, and the black lead to your PLC or microcontroller input; ensure your logic level is compatible with the PNP high-side output or use a voltage divider/level shifter for 5V systems.
