Overview

The EFR32MG24 is a high-performance wireless SoC featuring an ARM Cortex-M33 core running up to 78MHz with a dedicated AI/ML hardware accelerator. This device combines 1536kB of Flash with 128kB of RAM and a 2.4GHz radio supporting Bluetooth 5.3 and other 802.15.4 protocols. It is designed for secure, low-power IoT applications requiring edge intelligence and advanced cryptographic protection.

Why Choose This Part

This SoC stands out by integrating a hardware AI/ML accelerator that enables faster inference with lower power consumption than software-only solutions. The inclusion of Secure Vault Mid provides robust hardware-level security, including PUF-based key management and DPA countermeasures, while the 1.3uA deep-sleep current ensures long battery life in connected end-nodes.

Applications

Smart Home Hubs
Utilizes 1536kB Flash and 10dBm output power to manage mesh networking for Matter, Zigbee, and Thread devices.
Predictive Maintenance
Leverages the integrated Matrix Vector Processor for on-device AI/ML inference to detect equipment anomalies.
Secure Asset Tracking
Uses Secure Vault Mid features and Bluetooth 5.3 channel sounding for secure, high-accuracy indoor positioning.
