ADAU1761 SigmaDSP® CODEC Audio Evaluation Board
Active31 in stock

Overview

The EVAL-ADAU1761Z is a comprehensive evaluation platform for the ADAU1761, a low-power stereo audio CODEC with an integrated SigmaDSP processor. This board allows engineers to prototype high-fidelity audio signal processing chains with support for sampling rates from 8kHz to 96kHz at 24-bit resolution. It provides physical access to analog inputs and outputs, as well as digital interfaces for system integration testing.

Why Choose This Part

The board features a built-in SigmaDSP core which enables complex audio processing without taxing an external microcontroller. Its support for a wide range of sampling rates up to 96kHz ensures compatibility with professional audio standards while maintaining a low power profile for mobile applications.

Applications

Portable Audio Systems
Developing low-power signal processing for battery-operated speakers and media players.
Noise Cancellation
Implementing active noise control and echo cancellation algorithms directly on the hardware DSP.
Automotive Infotainment
Prototyping hands-free systems and audio equalization for vehicle cabin environments.
Voice-Controlled Devices
Preprocessing microphone signals for trigger word detection and voice recognition engines.

Getting Started

To begin development, connect the board to a PC using the included USBi interface and download the SigmaStudio graphical development tool. SigmaStudio allows for drag-and-drop programming of the DSP signal flow, including filters, compressors, and mixers, without writing assembly code. Monitor audio output through the 3.5mm jacks while adjusting parameters in real-time over the I2C interface.
