Overview

The EVLSPIN32G4-ACT is a high-performance evaluation board designed for driving three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motors using the STSPIN32G4 system-in-package. It integrates a 170 MHz Arm Cortex-M4 MCU with 512 KB Flash and 128 KB RAM, providing the computational power required for advanced Field Oriented Control (FOC) and real-time motor tuning.

Why Choose This Part

This board combines a high-performance MCU and a powerful gate driver into a single package, reducing PCB footprint and simplifying power stage design. It features dedicated motor control peripherals, including 12-bit ADCs and 32-bit timers, paired with pre-integrated support for the STM32 Motor Control Workbench for rapid tuning.

Applications

Industrial Robotics
Enables precise speed and torque control for robotic joints and actuators using high-frequency FOC algorithms.
High-Speed Cooling Fans
Utilizes start-on-the-fly algorithms to safely manage motors that are already spinning when power is applied.
Power Tools
Provides the 170 MHz processing overhead needed for flux weakening and feed-forward control in battery-operated tools.
Drones and UAVs
Supports simultaneous single or dual motor control with a wide input voltage range for multi-rotor systems.
