FRDM-TOUCH
Overview
The FRDM-TOUCH is a sensor expansion board designed for the Freescale Freedom development platform. It provides hardware for evaluating capacitive touch sensing capabilities, including electrodes for sliders and touch pads. This plug-and-play daughter card enables developers to quickly integrate human-machine interface (HMI) features into their NXP-based embedded designs.
Why Choose This Part
The board features a variety of electrode shapes and sizes to test sensitivity and response across different touch layouts. It uses the standard Freedom platform headers, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of Kinetis and LPC microcontrollers that feature integrated Touch Sensing Input (TSI) modules.
Applications
Key Specifications
Getting Started
Plug the FRDM-TOUCH into a compatible Freedom development board like the FRDM-KL25Z. Use the NXP MCUXpresso SDK, which includes peripheral drivers and example projects for the Touch Sensing Software (TSS) library. Ensure the jumpers are correctly configured to route the electrode signals to the microcontroller's TSI pins.
