Low Signal Relays - PCB ThruHole 1A SPDT 5DC 150mW Seal
1,196 in stock

Overview

The G5V-1-2 DC5 is a compact, ultra-miniature SPDT low-signal relay designed for high-density PCB mounting. It features a fully sealed construction to protect against soldering flux and environmental contaminants, making it suitable for demanding signal switching applications. With a low 150mW power consumption and a 1A contact rating, it provides reliable switching for logic-level and small power loads.

Why Choose This Part

The relay offers a highly sensitive 150mW coil, allowing it to be driven by standard logic circuits with minimal power overhead. Its small footprint (12.5mm x 7.5mm) saves significant PCB real estate compared to standard power relays while maintaining a 1A switching capacity.

Applications

Telecommunication Equipment
Used for routing low-level signals in telephony and networking hardware where isolation is required.
Security Control Systems
Ideal for triggering alarms or sensors in building automation and security panels.
Instrumentation and Measurement
Switching analog signals in test equipment where low contact resistance and high reliability are essential.
Industrial Logic Controllers
Providing galvanic isolation between low-voltage MCU outputs and 24V industrial control circuits.

Getting Started

To integrate this relay, ensure the driving circuit can provide at least 30mA at 5VDC to the coil. A flyback diode must be placed in parallel with the coil to protect driving transistors from inductive spikes during de-energization. The 2.54mm pin pitch allows for easy prototyping on standard perfboards or breadboards using a suitable adapter.
