Overview

The Monarch 2 GM02SP-GP02RBAQRF is an integrated LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT (NB1/NB2) module designed specifically for low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) applications. It features an integrated GNSS receiver for location tracking and a Common Criteria EAL5+ secure enclave for high-level IoT security. Operating on a wide supply voltage range from 2.2V to 5.5V, it allows for direct battery connection to simplify power circuitry in remote deployments.

Why Choose This Part

This module offers a cost-optimized BOM by integrating the modem, GNSS, and a secure enclave into a single LGA package. It is 3GPP Release 14 compliant (upgradeable to Release 17) and supports a ultra-low deep sleep current of 1uA, significantly extending the life of small battery-operated devices.

Applications

Asset Tracking
Utilizes integrated GNSS and low-power cellular connectivity to track logistics and high-value assets across global LTE-M and NB-IoT networks.
Smart Metering
Provides reliable, long-range communication for water, gas, and electricity meters in underground or indoor environments where standard cellular signals struggle.
Industrial IoT Sensors
Enables remote monitoring of environmental or mechanical data with minimal maintenance due to ultra-low deep sleep power consumption.
Wearable Safety Devices
The compact 16.3mm x 17mm LGA form factor and low 1uA sleep current make it suitable for battery-powered emergency notification or health tracking devices.
